I conduct my work as an holistic interior designer with the aim of creating harmony in the homes of my clients and being a little rebellious; resisting established rules of the typical design process.
Holistic Interior Design is not only about designing a beautiful home it is about creating a space that enhances your wellbeing. When designed well, Holistic Interior Design nourishes the mind, body, and spirit of the people that dwell in the space.
A traditional approach to interior design is focused on solving problems, function, and how visually pleasing a room is. Holistic Interior Design dives deeper as the designer considers how a room “feels”. When we say we “feel at home,” we are referring not simply to our physical location, but also to a state of being-to a sense of peacefulness in which we are free from troubling thoughts and emotions, where we are present in the moment and at one with ourselves. To assure well being and happiness in modern life, it is imperative to create homes that are in tune with our senses, needs, and desires; that offer respite from the chaos and confusion of the outside world.
